The Cardinal Gates, Stairway Special is a beautifully designed gate with two optional add-on panels (10.5” and 25”) to fit a wider span. It’s all aluminum construction is light but very strong. It has simple lines making the design aesthetically compatible for a wide range of home styles. Installation is straightforward and with some focus and patience you’ll have it installed in under an hour. This gate is used by many professional childproofing businesses including GoogooProof.

Cardinal, Expandable Gate, Model EX100 (Cardinal Gates XpandaGate, White)      The Cardinal Gates, EX100 is an exceptional configurable gate system available in white or black. It ships with a 30.5” gate attached to two 30” side panels. Total span is 90”. There are 15’” expansion panels that can be purchased separately. The gate latch operates by pushing a switch forward and then lifting the gate up and out of its secure position. This double action is simple for adults but very difficult for toddlers and even older kids. This steel gate is not lightweight at all. It’s my first choice for a configurable hard mounted gate. Here’s a recent installation where it was used. Only one of the 24” panels were needed.
