ANCHORING FURNITURE
Anchoring furniture is one of the most important parts of a childproofing project. Dressers, night stands and tippy furniture with drawers or cabinet doors can be anchored with strap style furniture anchors. Using quality products insures the best result. Toddlers have a mind of their own so don't leave them alone for even a second.

Cabinet Latch Choices
Cabinet latches come in two basic designs. Hook and cleat designs and magnetic designs. The majority of projects completed by GooGooProof include the installation of KidCo Swivel Latches.

Window Safety
Window limiters come in several variations. This may include hardware mounted, adhesive mounted and mechanical applications such as window bars.
Sliding windows, (that open up and down and side to side), are the most common window. The window limiter we use for those applications is the Cardinal Window Warden. It’s a small device but very well engineered with built in safety features.
Other types of windows such as crank windows or windows that tilt out need to be addressed with other types of window limiters. Follow the “Read More” link for additional information on window limiters.

This product stands out from all of the stuff on Amazon. It’s all made in China but some is better that’s others. These are designed very well. They have a useful installation making application really straightforward. The latches work well, look good and can be relied on.

Doors leading from your home out into the big scary world need to be childproofed. Standard door hardware is easily defeated by toddlers and door alarms do not physically stop toddlers from going out. Our belief is that if you are going to childproof an exterior door it should also increase your home security. We frequently install two Cardinal products. The first is, the “Door Guardian“. It’s used primarily for front and perhaps back door applications.

Cardinal’s exterior door bolts are a terrific solution. We frequently install two of their products. The first product, the “Door Guardian“, is commonly used for front door applications. It works well as a childproofing device but also increases home security by fortifying the door against forced entry, i.e. someone trying to kick in the door.
Sliding Door Safety
The second door bolt made by Cardinal that GooGooProof frequently installs is the “Patio Door Guardian“. It is a well designed piece of hardware that looks great, works smoothly, allows the door to be locked open 4” for ventilation, increases home security and will add value to your home.

Closet Door Limiters
Bi-Folding-Closet Door Limiter
This device is simple but works well. There’s nothing to install. The device just rests on top of the closet door. Just slide it across the door junction to prevent the door from opening outward. If you have a closet near your front door with a bi-fold door this device could allow you to create a safe room for jackets, back-packs or purses belonging to guests. Insist that guests store such items in this closet and you could remove dangerous items from babies access.
