Step One is Education: We introduce parents to selected reading materials focused on hazard identification and risk reduction as well as help in product selection.

Step Two: Create a Plan of Action: Plan a home survey to identify hazards and decide what products can best address those hazards.
Step Three is the hardest step. Action: Schedule a date for yourself or a professional service to begin product installation. If you have the ability and tools then purchase the products and do it today. If you hesitate at all then maybe bite the bullet and call a childproofing service. Either way the sooner it is done the less risk of injury your little one is exposed to hazards.

Risk Survey: Three Step Process

STEP ONE Assessment process includes a short chat about emergency incident planning, risky behavior, guns in the home and first aid topics. Prior to the assessment appointment safety related information is provided to begin the learning journey involving risk reduction. The articles focus on fire safety, vehicle safety, dresser tip-over issues, storage unit contents and various other safety points.

STEP TWO : A systematic risk survey of your home is conducted. Together we’ll identify hazards and ways to address those hazards. Picture your childproofing project as a whole pie. Each childproofing action you take removes a slice of that pie. The more pie you remove the better.  Anchoring furniture is a huge slice of that pie.

STEP THREE : A Risk Report is created using notes from the client chat, observations from the Risk Survey and suggestions on products to address the identified hazards. It will also contain product and installation costs and an installation time frame.

Identified Hazards Report

Survey report includes a product anpplication and cost list with a total project cost.

The survey report highlights hazards in your home. It’s based on several key factors such as service providers professional opinion and known facts based on statistical data about injuries to babies and young children.

Our assessment process is a brainstorming session between our client and our service provider resulting in a childproofing plan keeping in mind your budget, timeframe and skillset.

Your level of service is dictated by your budget, your DIY skills and the value you place on your time. All projects have one primary goal –  targeting identified hazards with quality childproofing products to reduce risk to babies.
